Latest edition of Holland Morocco, popular Blood in Blood out shirt.
From 21 to 23 December my first year graphic design class 1B of the The Hague art academy held an exhibition after a 2 months project on Wim Crouwel. The exhibition was a tribute to one of the most influential designers of the Netherlands. The master himself attended the opening and was guided and informed by the students. He was really excited and happily surprised by the results.
Made a new website for my friend and photographer Marques Malacia. From January the 3rd he exhibits work of a new project called Unlayered at De Balie. Vernissage on the 6th. Monquichot
The 8th of November Kennisland organized a working conference at De Glazen Zaal in The Hague. Theme was the cross-over and solutions between the Dutch cultural institutes and the corporate world. I made the publications that were used by the attendants during the workshops as they were able to react on the articles and add notes. My students of the first year Graphic Design class of the KABK gave assistance in binding the publications in a Japanese fashion.
Zeeburgia Saturday 2 presents the new home kit for this season. It is a new formation idea, in this version we chose to have numeric lines on the chest to express positions on the field. These first portraits show some of the team members that cover the field’s axis or center-line, full body flix will follow.
In the meantime Blood in Blood out is building a new website. The development and the new Zeeburgia formation line-up can be explored here.
A new season has started so the infamous Saturday 2 of Zeeburgia has a new kit. Again the kit design is based on team formations. Compared to last year’s black version we’ve taken the white one to the next level. Here are some previews of the upcoming official presentation.
Yesterday I had a presentation of the provisional proposal for the facade of the Heesterveld building complex. I made a maquette from the printouts where you can see the design for the outside walls. The walls on the inside still need to be ‘filled in’ by the inhabitants / the users of the complex. The definitive design will be presented and signed off by all parties somewhere in September. We are aiming for a complete finished building somewhere around February 2012. More designs for Heesterveld are found here.
Just in: XDI report for NoLIMIT / Youth Connection by Stephany Biezen. XDI stands for Xplore, Dvelop & Improve, a project to explore, develop and improve the possibilities of the NoLIMIT building and its program. Soon some photos of the publication in the archive.
