My studio is part of the Kunststad (Art city), one of the biggest cultural hotspot of Europe based in a former shipyard, the NDSM Werf, located in the north side of Amsterdam. You can reach the NDSM area easily by bicycle, public transport and by car.
Take the free NDSM-ferry from the backside of the Central Station towards the NDSM area. The ferry goes every half hour at 15 past and 45 past the hour. The ferry back to the Centre of Amsterdam goes every hour and half hour from the north side. The trip takes about 10 minutes and is accessible for bicycles and scooters.
During the week until 19:45 there is another ferry between the Tasmanstraat and the NDSM area. This ferry goes every half hour and only takes 5 minutes.
From the Buiksloterweg-ferry (also crosses the water from the backside of Central station): Follow the bicycle route along the Buiksloterweg and continue by following the signs of Oostzaan. You need to reach the Klaprozenweg. Continue the Klaprozenweg for about one kilometer until you reach the Van Riemsdijkweg. There you take a left and just before the MTV Network building you take another left. After 250 meters you have reached the NDSM area.
Take bus 35 from Amsterdam Central Station and get off at busstop: Atatürk. Cross the Klaprozenweg and go back south to the Van Riemsdijkweg. There you take a left and just before the MTV Network building you take another left. After 250 meters you have reached the NDSM area. About a 6 minutes walk.
From the (ringweg) A10: take exit S118, Tuindorp Oostzaan. Take the second exit after passing 2 roundabouts. At the traffic lights you continue ahead and take the first right when possible. You are now at the Van Riemsdijkweg. There you take a left and just before the MTV Network building you take another left. After 250 meters you have reached the NDSM area. Free parking.
