The Corona Times is a platform with a counter vision to the mainstream media, comments to decision making and measurements of the government. The Corona Times offers a stage for the alternative, messages, personal opinions and the word on the street, by publishing this as bill posted pamphlets with crude, bold and uncensored news headlines. The compressed summaries may shock you just like the nervous panic-like and unfamiliar movements people make when meeting in public during the early period of the Covid crisis, walking the street, in the supermarket or at the station. The newspaper header and the format is a hommage to the New York Times as well as the gothic type and the little crown are to the Mexican beer brand Corona.
The first 50 editions were posted on instagram, exhibited at Amsterdam Gallery Fuse and bill posted all over town.
